1. USA Mountain Dwellers
This webquest / project entitled "MOUNTAIN DWELLERS" will allow you to research on peoples whose ancient cultures and lives have been developed in mountains in the United States of America. There are lots of films, books, documentaries showing Native American -Indian- characters and culture. But how much do you know about them; their present and past. Have you ever wondered who these people are?
To start with it, you should browse the websites below and the ones at the end of all the proposed webquests and choose a tribe or dwelling you would like to work about.
Then think of the different aspects you would like to cover to "picture" those people as accurate as possible: geographic location, present population, history, customs and traditions (folklore, arts and crafts, music and dance...), etc.

Hopi Indian Fact Sheet
Native American Facts For Kids was written for young people learning about the Hopi Indian tribe for school or home-schooling reports. We encourage students and teachers to visit our Hopi language and culture pages for in-depth information about the tribe, but here are our answers to the questions we are most often asked by children, with Hopi pictures and links we believe are suitable for all ages.

In the centuries that led to the year 1000, Europe was emerging from chaos. Tribes roamed the countryside evoking fear from luckless peasants. The grandeur that was Rome had long passed. Across the Atlantic, the North American continent was also inhabited by tribes. The Anasazi managed to build glorious cities in the cliffs of the modern Southwest. Their rise and fall mark one of the greatest stories of pre-Columbian American history.
