Zero conditional (generalizaciones y verdades probadas -facts. Se cumple siempre. ). Se usa mucho en escritos ciéntificos
If/When you HEAT ice, it MELTS.
If you STUDY, you PASS your exams. (Everybody knows that you pass, if you study.) (En general) If you don't heat ice, it doesn't melt. (If + s+presente simple..., s+present simple) First conditional (Possible: es muy posible que suceda)
IF/When you study hard, you WILL PASS . (Fíjate: IF... , WILL...)
You WON'T PASS if you don't study. (If + s+presente simple..., s+futuro simple) Second conditional (Improbable: más difícil que suceda)
IF/When you STUDIED hard, you WOULD PASS .
(Fíjate: IF... , WOULD... ) You WOULDN'T PASS if you DIDN'T study. IF I WERE you, I WOULD STUDY. (If + s+past simple..., s+condicional simple) Third conditional (Imposible que suceda, ya pasó.)
IF/When you HAD STUDIED hard, you WOULD HAVE PASSED . (Fíjate: IF... , WOULD HAVE...)
You WOULDN'T HAVE PASSED if you HADN'T HAD STUDIED. IF I HAD BEEN you, I WOULD HAVE STUDIED. (If + s + past perfect..., s + condicional perfecto) ACTIVITIES
